^Lot 308 Enfield Snider Trapdoor 3rd Pattern Carbine

Snider Trapdoor 3rd Pattern Carbine, by Enfield (1870), #A934, .577 cal., 19'' rust blue barrel and frame, case hardened breechblock and lockplate, brass triggerguard and buttplate, with very nice ''(broad arrow)/Enfield'' cartouched walnut stock, flat faced hammer, III to chamber area. Condition is very good. Barrel retains approx. 85% thinning and toning blue, much of which should clean. Sideplate has toned mostly gray/brown but with good colors beneath hammer. Stock with light scuffs and impressions. Crossbolt screw just forward of lockplate shows some oil darkening in adjacent areas, and one small loss on right side. Good action, fine bore.
